Throughout one's life, there are times when feelings such as depression and anxiety can create a sense of loss of control. Life events such as the death of a loved one, divorce, anger, or interpersonal conflict can feel overwhelming. My clients would say that I treat every one according to their particular issues, with respect, and with great support and understanding. Individual therapy and couples therapy is the major part of my practice. In addition, as a patient advances in therapy, it is often beneficial to participate in a psychotherapy group. I believe strongly that for the right person, a group experience will enhance and expedite progress toward achieving their goals. I have served on the board of Resolve, Families for Private Adoption, and a special ed school--Kingsbury Day School. I participate in the "Ask the Expert" panel at the Resolve Family Building Conference. I am also a volunteer provider for Give an Hour, a non-profit organization providing free mental health services to U.S. troops and their families.
